The late- Mr. John W. Nick died from breast cancer June 11,  1991, at the age of 58.

2009 was the last health fair that I attended. In May of 2010, I became very ill and survived septic

poisoning and four major surgeries.  I had emergency surgery and was hospitalized for seven days. I left the hospital with a pick line in my arm for four more weeks. If the king of antibiotics did not work, I would not be here today. I also had a wound from the initial surgery that took six weeks to heal .

I had three more surgeries and each one took me three months to heal . Gluten was a big part of my health problem.  I have eliminated Gluten and  have lost two sizes and I am getting strong.  My whole life has changed as food is your fuel. I will be writing a booklet about food and cancer.

When I was sick there were two really good men who passed away from breast cancer. It was the toughest three and a half years of my life.  I work every day on my health and I am doing well. I still worked everyday on our charity running online auctions, producing brochures, updating the website and Facebook.

We are going to Texas in December for the health fair for six days to run our donated booth. There will be three people attending with me so far.  Come and visit our booth this year. We will have plenty of information and our pink and blue ribbons.

Peace and Good Health
